KATY HAYWARD
Meet Katy.
Katy has been tattooing for over 10 years, and creating art of all kinds since she was a young whipper snapper. Known for her nature inspired, delicate and intricate details, Katy’s illustrations and tattoo artworks bring people from far and wide, all with enough love for her art to have it indelibly etched into their skin.
Katy and her husband Wade are currently working on a native tree restoration project, planting out their own 10.5acre block with a big variety of northland sourced native trees, in the hopes of bringing back more beautiful native birds and helping to inspire others to care about our incredible wildlife in Aotearoa. Since 2020 K&W have planted over 6300 native trees (and rising!) , with the incredible help of funds raised from participants in tattoo fundraising competitions.
Katy is currently tattooing 3 to 4 days a week, capturing that healthy balance of work life and family life.
Katy’s tattoo bookings are currently closed due to being fully booked until the end of August 2026. Her next round of bookings will be re-opening on April the 6th, 2026, for the months of September through to December, 2026. Please read through our ‘frequently asked questions’ and send through your email to: katyhtattoorequest@gmail.com -on April the 6th, 2026 :)) Thank you!
WADE BOX
Meet Wade.
Wade is an incredible budding artist who is currently working in the Grey Warbler Studio part time. Wade has taken a step back from the tattooing side of things now and is focusing more on his art on paper, experimenting with portraits and different mediums.
Outside of creating at the studio, Wade is taking care of business at home, being an awesome Dad and keeping up with the care of his and Katy’s native planting project on their block of land.
